Now Official - Izzy's Butchers

Its been a mad few months. I took over my local Butchers shop at the beginning of March this year. What an incredible 6 months that followed!! Initially, i had a 2 weeks to break myself in to the routine of running my own village butchers, the day to day serving of customers as well as delivering local restaurants and pubs orders. The word coronavirus was on everybody's lips, although nobody really knew what it would bring. For us it brought the worry of losing the catering trade, although this was made up by an influx of customers through the shop doors. We had to bring new procedures into place, operate 1 customer at a time protocol, and adapt to the new way of life. However, with the unbelievably good weather and now the restaurants beginning to pick up pace again, It seems like we are getting back to some sort of normal.

With all that has gone on, I have only just managed to get the shop front painted, now under the name of "Izzy's Butchers"

The shooting season is not far ahead. I have work underway at the shop to turn this into the new base of Pennant Valley Game. Even though the emphasis in the shop is on Quality traditional meat, I am still as passionate as always about Game and even more excited by the prospect of having my own venue to sell from.
